of mice and men 2

This is the one Steinbeck novel assigned during high school that I didn’t read (come on, it was Christmas break). I didn’t realize how short it was or maybe I would have read it earlier than now, but oh well. A great story, one of those that feels truly American (whatever that means), and has great characters. While reading it, I couldn’t help but picture Gary Sinise as George, and the big dumb bear from Looney Tunes as Lennie. Time to watch the movie again and see how it measures up, as well as find those old cartoons.
